Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the world. Our thoughts of peace and courage are with everyone affected by the virus as well as our health professionals who are fighting hard to care and heal the affected people.
As the representative of the infertility and ART industry in the Asia-Pacific region, we encourage all of us to stand by the expert guidance relating to measures to mitigate the virus and definitely, to put people first.
ASPIRE recognizes that the COVID-19 phase of development differs for each country in the Asia Pacific. Therefore, our general recommendation is for our members to consider deferring treatment where possible while continue to care and consider the individual needs of our patients. Each country should observe the level of the virus mitigation in their respective region closely and only proceed with treatment following proper counselling of additional risks involved.
If any of our members have noteworthy information pertaining to the relation of COVID-19 and infertility patients, we welcome you to share the data with us.
