Non-obese PCOS patients are a unique group of population. They have different phenotypic and metabolic characteristics than obese PCOS patients.Since the pathophysiology of PCOs is multifactorial, many of these modalities do not fit for the lean phenotype of PCOS.
Much contradictory research was found regarding lean patients with PCOS.
The aim of this topic is to shed light on the debate regarding their specific characteristics and their specific management with regards to their general health as well as fertility issues.
